There I was sitting on the shelf; day after day, week after week, year after year sitting on a shelf. It was hopeless, beyond my power to get someone to adopt me. I was powerless to accomplish my goal, which was to be adopted, accepted by a nice family, to belong to a family. I would pray to God to cause this to happen.
One day along came a man, a great man. When He walked, the earth shook. When He spoke, the clouds dissolved. He walked right up to me and said; “I want this wonderful, perfect child. I will purchase him. The storekeeper wants to keep him in bondage, But who can stand against the desires of God. The storekeeper had set the price for me was extremely high. The price was the blood of God’s firstborn Son, Jesus.
But, both God the Father and Jesus the Son knew the purchase price was extremely costly, but he wanted me in their family. They loved me from my beginning.
So here is what happened. If you can believe it the Son of God, Jesus, volunteered to buy me for the Father with His very blood. How could that be? I had no value; I was alone on a shelf, all dusty and somewhat soiled. Boy, that is love! Jesus to sacrifice His life for mine.
Hebrews 10:5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; 6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. 7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”
So I was bought with the blood of Jesus.
Galatians 3:13 Christ bought us with His blood and made us free from the Law. In that way, the Law could not punish us. Christ did this by carrying the load and by being punished instead of us. It is written, “Anyone who hangs on a cross is hated and punished.” 14 Because of the price Christ Jesus paid, the good things that came to Abraham might come to the people who are not Jews. And by putting our trust in Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit He has promised.
I was bought with the blood of Jesus, so now I am a full-fledged child of God with Jesus the Christ as my elder brother, WOW!!
All this happened when I was sitting on a shelf, without hope, depressed, without a future.
Ephesians 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
This all happened to me because:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I looked at my birth certificate and in permanent ink is listed my parent, God Almighty.! I was and still am unable to understand the full implication of this fact: I am a child of God. I am a child of God! I am a child of God! God is my FATHER, my Dad.
I have full privileges to enter the presence of God because He is my Father. I can enter the very throne room of God, I can boldly stand in the presence of Almighty God because I am a child of God and Jesus is my Brother. I am a child of God.
John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Romans 8:14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
1 John 3:1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
I still have to pinch myself now and then to understand that I am a child of God.
Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
The reality of my sonship is still slow to come. I had been on a shelf with no hope and now I was a child of GOD! Not only is God my Father, but my Big Brother is Jesus, the Christ, the creator of all things in heaven and on earth.
Hebrews 2:10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. 11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. 12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” 13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”
Thank you, Dad and Brother, for your love to me.
THE PERFECT FACTORY
My new job with The Perfect Company
How have you been? I have been thinking about you lately. I just started working for a company and I know you need a permanent job also. This company would be great for you. It is perfect for me, absolutely perfect.
The company is The Perfect Company. It is the biggest company anywhere in the universe. It has offices all over the world and once hired, employment is permanent. I was having some problems in my life, I could not find the right job, felt dejected and was sad. A friend of mine introduced me to The Perfect Company and the Man that manages the company. He offered me a permanent position with the company. All I had to do was accept the offer. Well, I accepted. The strangest thing happened; I was accepted with open arms. In fact, they had a huge party for me on the spot. Everyone stopped what they were doing and they all acknowledged me as a new employee. It is like we are all family! I have never been so satisfied and happy.
Well, let me tell you about the company. You ought to accept their offer. I am getting ahead of myself, I’m so excited. I didn’t tell you, but The Perfect Company has a standing offer to anyone that wants employment. Accepting their offer gives you a permanent job with them. All anyone has to do is ask for a job, that’s all. The Perfect Company accepts everyone, amazing. Like I said it is like a family working here.
I met the Manager of the company the other day. He is the boss of everything. They all call Him, “The Boss.” It is like He is my best friend. In fact, it was better than that, it is like He is my brother, my own brother. He knows all about me. He knew about my family, where I live, my likes and dislikes, any problems I have. He knew all about me! I’m amazed if I was the manager of a company I don’t think I would have hired me! I don’t know how to run any of the equipment. I’m not the smartest nor have much ability. I don’t know how to work or do anything in this company. It is all so very knew to me. Yet from the beginning, they made known to me the job was permanent and advancement was sure. The Boss’s kindness and generosity are amazing. I have never been at a company like this. The Boss is always happy; He is extremely creative, always confident in Himself, and even very confident in what they will train me to do. I am so new but so glad I found The Perfect Company.
I think the reason they have confidence in me is not because of me, I’m a big foul-up, but because of My Foreman. My Foreman knows everything. I mean literally everything. Everyone calls Him “My Foreman.” That is because He is so personable and aware of each one of us individually. He too knows everything about me.
My Foreman knows the company from top to bottom and side to side. He knows, in detail, the direction The Boss is taking. He knows how everything works (He should, they say He made everything). He gets His direction from The Boss. He knows the mind of The Boss. I don’t know how He does it, but My Foreman is the same Foreman that everyone else at The Perfect Company has as his foreman. Talk about the harmony running here. The Foreman is my teacher and my guide for what to learn and how to do my work at The Perfect Company. And He is my comforter. If I run into a problem at work He teaches me what is correct, how to work through that problem and comforts me through the process. It is like He and I work together to accomplish the work. Because of My Foreman, I feel the two of us together can accomplish anything, literally anything. I know without My Foreman working with me it is very hard for me and results are not satisfactory. No matter how good my personal standards are they do not come anywhere near the standard when The Foreman works with me. The Perfect Company has standards set by The Owner. These standards are only attainable with The Foreman and me working together.
I’d like to tell you about The Owner. The word I’d use to describe The Owner of The Perfect Company is LOVE. Love because He will let anyone and everyone start work here at The Perfect Company. The Owner has created a place where anyone is welcome. It doesn’t matter your ability or your circumstance, The Owner’s love for everyone is more important.
Word is, The Owner had the idea for this company way back when. The Boss loves The Owner and wanted to do what The Owner envisioned. The Boss envisioned the same as the Owner. Therefore, with the help of The Foreman they built The Perfect Company. The three of them worked together to build The Perfect Company. It is as if they are one, and yet each does different things. Each of the three has their own ability and yet they can do everything individually and together. It is Perfection at work fulfilled by Love.
You can tell The Boss gave His heart and soul to create The Perfect Company. The Boss must have given a great deal of Himself. He looks like He was in a fight for His life and He lost, but He didn’t. He has permanent bruises and scars all over His body. I’ve heard He even died to build this company, but the Owner brought Him back to life.
The three-The Owner, The Boss, and The Foreman are all perfect in a flawless company that they built together. The most remarkable thing is they built The Perfect Company and run it all for you and me. I accepted their offer for employment, you need to also. The sign says “Always Hiring – Anyone.”
God, the Father, has a plan:
Ephesians 2:7 in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:21 In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.
Jesus, the Son, volunteered to carry out the plan of the Father
Hebrews 10:5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; 6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. 7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, my God.’
The Holy Spirit is being used by Jesus to carry out the Father’s plan.
Jesus said in – John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify Me because it is from Me that He will receive what He will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what He will make known to you.”
The Trinity: Father – Son – Holy Spirit working together as One, yet separate. God is Unimaginable, Amazing, Complete, Holy, Righteous, Kind, Giving, Peaceful, Complete – Love.
You need God. Ask Jesus into your life !!!
Love is the essence of God. In fact – God is Love. God created man so He could express His love to man. Man was made in the image and likeness of God. But man turned his back on his Maker, God. God gave man the ability to decide. Man has the ability to make choices about his own life by his own will. Man can decide to love or not to love, like God loves. Man decided to follow his own agenda and man separated himself from God.
Because of God’s great and undying love for us humans God gave to us, Jesus, His Son. God’s Christmas gift to us.
God gave us Jesus, born by a woman, and also birthed by God. Perfect God gave life to the perfect human Jesus.
Thus we celebrate Jesus’ birth and call it Christmas.
Christmas presents the reality of life in Jesus. Everyone must see God at some time. Your decision is if you want to face God with life in Jesus or face God on your own.
Christmas is important for each of us. Individually we each must decide if we want Jesus who is God’s Christmas gift to us in our lives.
If you do want this gift, Jesus, you must take the gift of Jesus into your life. So ask Jesus to be His gift to you, your Savior, your hope, your salvation.
Hope you each enjoy Christmas knowing you have accepted your gift from God, Jesus, into your life.
Life with Jesus is good. Jesus said; “I came to bring you life and that to the fullest.”
Merry Christmas to ALL!
Where are we in this picture except on the receiving end of the goodness of God? How do we define the Love, the Greatness, the Consideration, the Justice of our God? AND THIS IS YOUR ABBA, FATHER!
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,
9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,
16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)—
12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,
15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,
16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.
18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.
22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit
Relax and enjoy in what you Dad has done for you. He only does wonders things.
Jesus is EVERYTHING not only the sum, but the fullness, the completeness, the EVERYTHING of God. You can depend and trust always in Him.
- Jesus is not a son of God. Jesus is THE Son of God –Matthew 16-13 “When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 “But what about you?”he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- Jesus is not a way to God, a truth about God, nor a life to God. Jesus is THE way to God, Jesus is THE truth of God, and Jesus is THE Life in God – John 4:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
- Jesus did not help make things, Jesus is THE maker of all things – John 1:3 “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”
- Jesus does not help hold thing together, Jesus is THE holder of all things together. Colossians 1:17 “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
- Jesus is not a name, Jesus is THE name – Philippians 2:9 “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,”
- Jesus is not a king or lord. He is THE King, THE Lord – Philippians 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- Jesus is not with all things. Jesus is BEFORE all things – Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
- Jesus is not a cornerstone for the world. Jesus is THE Cornerstone for all things – Ephesians 2:20 “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”
- Jesus is not a part of God. Jesus is God. – Colossians 1:19 “For God was pleased to have all his (God) fullness dwell in him (Jesus), 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”
- Jesus is not a son of God. Jesus is THE Son of God. – Matthew 3: 16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
- Again, Jesus is not a son of God. Jesus is THE Son of God. – Hebrews 5:5 “In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.”
- Jesus is not a word about God. Jesus is THE WORD of GOD – Revelations 19: 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
- Jesus is not from the beginning and near the end. Jesus is before the beginning and He is past the end – Revelation 22:13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
- Jesus is not a way to take away sin from man. Jesus is THE Way to take away sin from man – John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God,who takes away the sin of the world!”
Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Philippians 5:5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
Hebrews 1:1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. 5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, You are my Son; today I have become your Father”? Or again, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son”? 6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” 7 In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants lames of fire.” 8 But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” 10 He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. 11 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. 12 You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”
So how can we have our dependency on anything or anyone other than Jesus?
- Who is King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords – Revelation 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
- And He loves us and we are His brothers – Hebrew 2:11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.
