We see the natural so we can understand the supernatural

God has given us what we can see and understand in this world, so we can grasp what we can’t see in the world of the Spirit.  We understand in the natural so we can comprehend in the supernatural.

We live in a family so we can understand God the Father and God the Son and the Holy Spirit. That we have siblings so we can understand the children of our Father, God.

OUR DOGS WANT TO BE WHERE WE ARE!

Trevor picture       We have three dogs. They want to be in our presence all the time. Currently, it is 7 am and they are at the outside door and the instigator, our Terrier mix is barking to get in the house. The Beagle is whining and the old Rottweiler; she is just sitting at the back door looking forlorn. We do not want to be where they are, but they want to be where we are.

Sunday the pastor discussed us painting a picture of our lives “including” God in our picture. We paint a picture of righteousness, a picture of good things and adventures, including God. We want to include God, which is only smart. Nevertheless, it is our picture and we are “including” God. How about if we turn around the idea of who is “including” whom? How about we find out what God wants to paint and fit us into His picture?

Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12 ‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD,…….

And

Proverbs 8:14Counsel is mine and sound wisdom;  I am understanding, power is mine. 15 “By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice. 16 “By me princes rule, and nobles, All who judge rightly. 17 “I love those who love me;  And those who diligently seek me will find me. 18 “Riches and honor are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness. 19My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold, And my yield better than choicest silver. 20 “I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice, 21To endow those who love me with wealth, That I may fill their treasuries.

Our dogs are smarter than we are. The dogs want to be in our picture.  They know instinctively to be in our picture.  We are the source of all that is good to them. We pet them. We feed them. We treat them nicely. We give them a good place to sleep, and boy, can they sleep! In addition, we clean up their messes. For our dogs, everything good is found near us. They know whose picture to be in and are satisfied!

Our dogs are pretty smart. We are their source!

So, we ought to let God do the painting and we fit into His picture.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

God first.

The Intimacy of Creating Life

The relationship of a man and the woman

The egg from a woman has no life in itself.  It floats around in the woman’s womb seeking life.

The sperm of the man is alive and actively seeking a woman’s egg to bring life to.  The man’s sperm gives life to the egg it enters.  The result is a new being, a new life, and it’s own life.

To create this new life, the man and the woman face one another.  The woman wants to receive the man.  She accepts the man.  She opens herself to the man.  The man enters the accepting woman in an act of love toward the woman.  He gives her eggs life.

The relationship of God and His new children

God gives this relationship between a man and a woman as a great example of God’s relationship with us.

Each one of us has the kernel of eternal life in them (the egg).  All we need is to be born by God.  We need to choose to face God.  We face Him face to face.  We decide to open our lives, our being to Him.  We ask Him to enter us.  He brings the life (the sperm) to our wanting being.  By this act of us asking God into our lives, we become born of God.  We become children of the living, only true God.  We become in our being a child of God.

Jesus said in the Bible – (John 3:16): For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

And in John 3:5-8: 5Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

We need God to make us alive!!

We are children of God

I once had a very good friend, who said to me after I was “born again”; “if you understand that you are child of God, everything with God fits.”   I had asked Jesus into my life, but didn’t understand much about being “born again” or being a “son of God.”  Somewhere along the road, God showed me that; I AM CHILDREN OF GOD because I have asked Jesus into our lives.

God has continued to confirm and expand that truth, WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD because we asked Jesus into our lives.   My friend  was correct; everything fits and fits  better and better as I understand we are part of the family of God and especially that God is our Daddy, our Father,  we are assuredly CHILDREN OF GOD.

God is our Father because we asked Jesus Christ into our lives.  We are born again, by the Spirit of God.  God is our Father, our Dad.  We are not the people of God, nor citizens of a kingdom; nor are we part of “God’s chosen people”.

WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE LIVING AND ONLY TRUE GOD!!!  God is our Father!

It all starts with asking Jesus into one’s life, being born by the Spirit of God.  We therefore become spiritually born by God.  And God becomes our spiritual DAD, our Dad that matter most.

Romans 8 says:  “9You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you. 12Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. 14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.  And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.  17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

We are born again; we are now children of God. God now is our Father, our Dad.

Relationship between individuals is not taught, but experienced by time, learning each other.  Relationship is an experience, you grow into it.  A solid relationship with God, knowing Him as our Father, makes us stand strong.  It is a Father-son relationship with the God that is above, before and beyond everything, the God of the Universe and we are His kids.

We learn about and know our Dad because of a relationship with Him.  We gain confidence in our Dad by knowing Him, who He is, how He thinks, and His character rubbing off on us.  It is relationship with our Dad.  It is understanding, the solidity of Almighty God as being our Father.  Our dependency on Him is that He is Dad!   We learn as we spend time with our God that He is always true, He never leaves you or forsakes you.  He is Dad.  Big, powerful, mighty, comforting, protecting DAD, this is our Dad.  And our relationship with Him shows us that He is dependable. Putting our faith, our dependency in Him is done by time spent with Him in our life.

Let God open the eyes of your understanding,   Ephesians 1:  18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,”

Ask God; please show me that YOU are my DAD!!!!   Then spend time with Him and enjoy the relationship.
